Traveling exposes me to new cultures, helps me understand different perspectives, and of course allows me to taste various different cuisines! I am naturally curious, curious to meet new people, curious to visit new places and traveling to different destinations helps me satisfy my curiosity. I love art, so I like visiting museums in London and Paris and Amsterdam that have rare artwork from the Renaissance period. But my most favorite painting is located closer to home – it is a painting of Daniel and the Lions by Peter Paul Rubens which can be found at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.

I also travel to different countries for my work. My company is headquartered in Germany and some of my research colleagues are located in Vienna. I travel to visit them, to understand their needs and their perspectives. I also travel across the US and Europe to scientific conferences to meet and talk with peers and experts in the scientific community.

My parents live in India, so I take my kids to go hang out with grandparents and cousins and we always have super fun!!

Overall, traveling is awesome! I have NEVER suffered from jetlag! I am always game to travel, even before I finish my ongoing trop, I start planning my next trip so it gives me something to look forward to!!
