Strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from blood of patients has been considered more dangerous than strains of the same bacterium isolated from the sputum of patients. It was surprising to find out that the former strains are also more dangerous and reduce survival of a tiny worm (C. elegans) that has no blood or any adaptive immune systems (the one that produces antibodies).

I have a couple of cool and strange things… So I look at surfaces which are made of atoms in an ordered structure. Sometimes you get steps with more layers of atoms growing.

The thing I’ve noticed is when putting down molecules, the molecules LOVE to sit on the edge of the steps and sometimes even partner up. Here are a couple of examples:

It means I know where to look for things and it makes for some interesting questions because we can then look at the structure of the molecules further.
