      This isn’t my specialism, so I’m not 100% certain (I had to look it up to double check!), but I think it’s where a uranium atom is hit with a neutron, and splits (fission) into more particles and chucks out some neutrons. Then those neutrons hit other uranium atoms, and the same happens again, and so on and so on, creating a massive waterfall type effect, that creates energy
