I do have a trilobite, well the top half of a trilobite anyway (it’s a bit broken!)- only the one. I found it when I was searching for fossils on a fieldtrip to the Welsh borders (near Ludlow). We had got permission to go into a quarry and have a look at the old cliff faces- we had protective gear and helmets on. Lots of rocks were scattered all across the ground, and we hunted through them for fossils, and I found a trilobite there. I try to be really careful when fossil hunting- I never break them out of the cliff, I just look through the rocks that have naturally fallen to the ground. Trilobites are pretty awesome because they are so old. The one I found was in rocks from the Silurian geological period, which was over 400 million years ago!
