Question: Do you want your kids to be scientists when they grow up and do you think you are a good role model to them as a scientist?

Great question, this is something my wife and I discuss a lot!! We believe in giving our kids the freedom to choose what they want to be. If they are inspired by the work we do and want to be scientists, we would definitely encourage them! But if they want to be artists or musicians or lawyers or doctors, they would be free to choose the profession of their choice and would have our full backing! I really hope I am a good role model to them. We talk about science and antibodies and the power of the body to fight diseases a lot and my kids are curious and come up with the most amazing questions that can really stump me, a lot like the questions that are asked as part of the chats and Ask!!
