The old science versus religion question.

There is no wrong answer but can I give you my take?

Religion is a complicated beast and involves a foundation on a belief of an individual situation.

Science neither hates nor loves religion but as soon as we say a topic of discussion is closed, I get angry.

Religion represents Philosophy, Ethics, Politics, Theology, Science etc. and these are all big issues.

Be prepared to debate but don’t hate people for different beliefs. If you don’t understand beliefs then you should learn, and keep learning.

As for me… I have no religion and I refuse to pin my point down in one. Let’s always talk though!

I would consider myself spiritual but not religious! What is the difference – I am trying to figure that out 🙂

Personally, I do not believe in god. I believe in science, in the Big Bang Theory, in the theory of evolution, that we came from primates, that the Earth is 4.6 billion years old. To believe in these things, when I cannot physically see them, is almost similar to believing in god. It takes a form of faith. After all, faith is just believing in something really strongly, right? Saying all this, I know a lot of scientists who consider themselves religious and believe in god, and do not have a problem mixing this with their science. The key message here- science is for everyone, regardless of faith or religion.
