Farheen, congratulations!

During every event we ask the scientists and moderators to nominate their top student — one who’s made the most of the event, shown enthusiasm and asked some really great questions.

Farheen from Colchester County High School for Girls was nominated by the scientists for being ‘polite, sincere and asking some amazing questions’. ‘Farheen has been excellent in the chats, asking some very intriguing questions,’ said one scientist.

As the student winner, Farheen will receive a certificate and a gift voucher.

Thank you all for taking part in I’m a Scientist. This has been one of the most fun two weeks I’ve had in a long time. Questions range from horrendous hypotheticals to preferences on pizza. Some of my highlights have been explaining how life started, working out how to saw the earth in half and also explaining what I do so that others can understand it better!

I hope you’ve all had a great time too with the competition and that you’ll all enjoy science as much as you can. Don’t forget – there is no right route to becoming a scientist. Enjoy what you do and the right choices will present themselves.

I really am humbled and thank you so much again – I never thought I had it.
