• Question: what type of person would you recommend your job to and why

      Anyone who is motivated, excited to do good science and has a background or a degree in biology. Everything else you can learn on the job and we can train you!!

      I don’t think there is any single type of person to recommend. I know some people who really are obsessed with their jobs and read all about it when they get home. I know people who are really into video games. I know people who play in band, some of which tour. Some play football. There is no right person at all!

      On saying that… The best people to go into my job are people have to have passion for what they’re doing – they should want to study science and be interested in what they’re looking at. There are so many different areas of science and there’s something for everyone! They’re all so different.

      I don’t think there is any particular type of person, but I do think you have to be passionate about your subject- science is all about continually learning, always asking questions- if you’re not passionate for your subject, if you don’t enjoy it, you will lose interest and won’t enjoy being a scientist!

      There isn’t a right type ! i suggest having the passion and a commitment to learn.
