      No, it is not because if I start to walk from Leicester Clock Tower toward Birmingham and I keep going (I will have to take a boat at some points) following the same direction (East) I will eventually come back to where I started

      Does the earth revolve around the sun? Or does the sun revolve around the earth? Does the earth rotate on its own axis? If you went up above the atmosphere in a hot air balloon and came down 24hrs later, would you be in the same location or would you be on the other side of the earth? Basically – no the earth is NOT flat!
