I became a scientist by doing a degree in Earth Science- during my A level in geography I started to get really interested in volcanoes, so my teacher suggested I look into Earth Science courses. I had never felt particularly scientific in the past, but suddenly it all clicked, and I realised I had been looking at the world all my life like a scientist- I was always intrigued by why things were there, how they formed, so I felt I had found something that really fitted me well.
