I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it Farheen, you’ve been a great student, very engaged and thoughtful questions.
I’ve really enjoyed the live chats, because the questions asked are so varied! I’ve been asked why beans make you fart, whether I like Air Max shoes, whether I like pineapple on pizza, whether Minecraft lava is like real lava! As well as lots of great questions about science.
It’s been a really worthwhile experience for me, because it’s shown me the kinds of things students are most keen to know about (how I decided to become a scientist for example, and what hobbies I have, what I do when I’m not working). I can use this going forward in science outreach events that I’m involved in to make sure I’m getting across the aspects of my job that students are most interested in!

I’m also going to say that the live chats have been brilliant. Some have been quite easy going with lots of similar questions and some have been so fast it’s been almost impossible to keep up.

I’ve had questions not only about my work but on space, stars, black holes. Also what atoms are made of and what possible technologies will be available in the future. These are really fun to think about!

The event isn’t over so there is plenty of time for lots of you to join in and ask us questions about all different areas!

Absolutely Farheen! They have been so eye opening and interesting! You have been one of the best and most dedicated students. Keep it up and make your parents proud!

Hi Fareen, happy to hear you have enjoyed it. I have learnt a lot through the chats and its made me reflect a lot. Its been a pleasure communicating why i do what i do and contributing to making science in health more visible.
