Question: Can the earth get sucked into a black hole ?

I really hope not! In theory, yes, it could happen! If it did, it would rip away our atmosphere and our oceans, then the rock beneath our feet! BUT- its incredibly unlikely. Black holes are pretty rare. And our situation as a nice planet for life to thrive on, with oceans and humans and trees, is also amazingly rare.
