      Great question, thanks for reading through my profile thoroughly!! Being a vegetarian reduces your carbon footprint, it takes less resources to grow plants than it does for example to raise a cow or pig. It reduces the amount of Carbon-Dioxide, methane and other greenhouses gases that is emitted into the atmosphere and can have an impact on global warming. So essentially, yes, I do believe being a vegetarian, apart from being cool and trendy, does help save the planet.
